About the concert:
Over the years, I've learnt a lot about various genres from all around the globe. For many cover versions that I play on my keyboards, I try to fuse and/or mix-n-match a song with a different style and lead voice.
For this concert, I have prepared a lot of well known music for you which is both close to me and has a certain level of improvisation involved.
Please check out some of my constant experimentation and tweaking around on previous LIVE broadcasts.
Inspirations and dedications:
My main driving force to reach out, LIVE, came after I saw the extremely talented Greek musician, Yanni, LIVE in Calgary in 2014. His music, powered by himself and his talented orchestra moves anybody who tunes into it. After my parents gifted me the Yamaha PSR S950 last year on my birthday, I've been attempting to recreate a similar virtual orchestra ambiance and presence. This concert also serves as a celebration of one year since I embarked on this journey.
I also humbly dedicate this concert to two people I greatly loved and have lost within the past two years. My maternal grandfather, Shri Surendra Kalra and my mentor from Teck, 'Captain' Randy Cooke.
